鳳林肉圓專賣店 sits on Zhongzheng Road in Fenglin, Hualien, its mainstays ba-wan, pork thick-soup, and tube mi-gao, plus rice cakes like wa-gui, fa-gao, red-turtle cake, and cao-zai-gua; one diner said “the pork thick-soup has honest ingredients, every spoonful sweet-savory, and the Hakka veggie bun is a must — the rice-flour skin grows fragrant the more you chew, the filling full and huge.”

Another warned “the mi-gao and ba-wan come with chili (quite spicy) by default, unmentioned, so say so if you don't eat spicy,” the morning-market hits selling out early — one diner found “wa-gui already sold out by 7:40am on a Friday.” Reviews call it “tasty and cheap,” with minced-pork ban-tiao, rice-noodles, yi-mian, and oil noodles too, dry or in soup.
