阿斗伯冷凍芋 sets up under the arcade on Chenggong Road in Taichung's Central District, its signature frozen taro cooked soft then chilled, served with mung-bean soup, peanut soup, douhua, and wood-ear-with-lotus-seed soup and other old-time sweet soups, all priced NT$30–55. One diner said “queued a long time on a Sunday night — worth the wait, the flavor's superb.”
Open until 12:30am, it's a good late-night dessert stop; but one diner reported “the food's good, but the young owner (or server) had an extremely bad attitude,” so service reviews vary — be prepared before going.
