大裕米糕

大裕米糕 sits on Chenggong East Street in Chiayi City's West District, a morning-only mi-gao stall, its mi-gao not too mushy — a bit sticky yet distinct-grained — served with a bowl of bonito soup, plus pork-ball soup and braised egg to add. One diner said “the mi-gao is so tasty, not too mushy but a bit sticky and somewhat distinct-grained, with a bowl of bonito soup to top it off perfectly.”

The owners are warm with customers, and though the stall is small it has many regulars — one diner noted “the owner's very courteous, and lots of regulars seem to know the ropes, ordering from their scooters and taking it to go,” another calling it “polite, clean, warm-hearted.”

Closed Mondays and Tuesdays; otherwise open daily 6:00am to 11:00am.
