福泰飯桌, in Tainan's West Central District, was selected for the “500 Bowls” Taiwanese street-food awards two years running, 2023 and 2024, plus a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod in 2025.
The signature braised-mince rice with milkfish soup is a regulars' must-order combo, a spoon of rice and a sip of soup being quite satisfying; the sides are many too, a genuine Tainan-style breakfast fan-zhuo (rice-table diner). Popular items may sell out if you go too late, so come in the morning. Dine-in has AC and the staff are good — another take on a Chinese breakfast.
Open through Friday only, closed Saturdays and Sundays; otherwise open 7:30am to 2:30pm.
