上海未名麵點酸梅湯, in Taichung's Central District, took two bowls in 500 Bowls in 2024 and a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod in 2025.
The menu centers on noodles: beef noodles (large) NT$150, pork-chop noodles (large) NT$130, zhacai pork-shred noodles and zhajiang noodles both NT$100, pickled-greens noodles NT$85, dandan noodles NT$95. The complimentary tableside scallion and chili refill endlessly and add flavor with the broth and pork chop. Regulars describe it as an old taste they've “eaten since childhood” — not necessarily amazing, but the memory you miss.
Closed Mondays and Sundays; otherwise open 7am to 1:30pm.
