興隆居, in Kaohsiung's Qianjin District, was selected for the “500 Bowls” Taiwanese street-food awards twice, in 2023 and 2026 — a shao-bing and you-tiao breakfast spot locals know well.
The menu is combo-based: shao-bing + you-tiao is NT$39 for a half set, NT$50 for a full set, with scallion egg, pickled greens, and fried egg freely added, prices ranging NT$43 to 74. Regulars say the shao-bing isn't too greasy even when cool, and the signature chili sauce carries a hint of fermented-rice flavor — a matter of taste. The queues are long, but locals will kindly show you how to line up.
Open Wednesday to Sunday only, from 4:30am, selling until 11:30am; closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
