北港王鴨肉飯 sits on Xitun Road Section 2 in Taichung, its sign reading “founded 2007,” its main draw duck rice drizzled with a special sauce and served with a light duck soup, plus assorted hei-bai-qie like duck gizzard and duck intestine à la carte. One diner said “a good local flavor,” another “the duck soup feels a bit like Beigang Laoshou's style, the duck rice is good,” one even saying “I really don't want too many people to know, or the line will get bad.”
Flavor and quality reviews vary — one diner said “NT$60 for such a small bowl of soup? faster to just fight for one,” finding the portion out of line with the price; another noted a delivery-quality issue, “I order delivery often, but this is the second time I've opened the box to find hair stuck to it,” so dine-in is the safer bet.
