莉莉水果店 sits on Fuqian Road in Tainan's West Central District, its sign reading “since 1947,” its mainstays mango pudding ice and mixed-fruit ice, plus the Tainan-traditional sliced tomato with ginger-soy dip. One diner said “the shop lives up to its name — the queue is there for a reason; we ordered two kinds of mango shaved ice and it was indeed as good as its reputation, the fruit is the star here and very fresh, especially in Taiwan's summer mango season.”
Another noted “the mango pudding ice is pretty good, the plain fruit platter ordinary,” the mango ices drawing the most consistent praise as the signature choice; the fruit stall out front is colorfully displayed, and you can buy fresh fruit à la carte too.
