阿興虱目魚, in Tainan's North District, was selected for the “500 Bowls” Taiwanese street-food awards in 2024 and earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod in 2025, with a 4.6 rating — among the highest in the milkfish category.

The signature milkfish fried-fish-intestine soup stays on many regulars' minds; the garlic rice is called the “top delicacy,” best eaten with the doubanjiang dip and a crisp, fragrant pan-fried fish belly — the shop's most recommended combo. Because it's popular, calling ahead is the safer bet.
