A run-bing (fresh spring roll) rolled to order — the wrapper, egg floss, and braised pork all made on the spot.

Signature dishes

  • run-bing (fresh spring roll)

A run-bing (fresh spring roll) stall in a side alley of Dongmen Market, where everything from the whole-wheat wrapper to the fillings is made fresh on the spot. The braised pork is tender and well-seasoned, the egg floss golden and crisp without being greasy; combined with stir-fried cabbage and peanut powder, it's rolled into a thick, hearty wrap with over twenty filling options.

Open only four days a week — Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday — and it often sells out around noon, making it one of the few stalls in the market worth arriving early for.
