柯家紅豆餅 is a small pushcart stall on the streets of Jiaoxi Township, Yilan, grilling red-bean cakes to order in flavors of red bean, cream, peanut, or shredded radish. One diner said “the red bean has soybeans mixed in, so overall it's not cloyingly sweet,” another “NT$15 each, generous filling.”

But reviews swing widely — one diner said flatly “the red bean tasted entirely of thickened starch, no red-bean or kidney-bean aroma, thankfully there's a faint flour scent to the skin — the most touristy red-bean cake I've had in years”; service also drew complaints, one reporting “the owner's attitude is terrible,” others noting prices rose from NT$10 to 15 to 20, so value varies by person — go with that in mind.
