紅油抄手如評論寫的，只有花椒香氣與醬油香。我還是另外加了烏醋跟兩種店內提供的辣椒，整個吃起來酸香麻辣非常夠味。燙青菜要50元，鮮嫩的地瓜葉淋上肉臊還不錯。最喜歡的是11號桌的位置，在店裡角落，冷氣正下方，很適合單身肥宅邊緣人待著。這家是家常小店，路過可以來試試。

茂記麵麵店 sits on Zhonghe Road in Fenglin Township, Hualien, a home-style noodle shop familiar to locals, its signatures Sichuan dan-dan noodles, hong-you wontons, and blanched greens. One diner said “the large bowl is truly huge, the Sichuan dan-dan noodles are tasty with Sichuan-pepper aroma”; the hong-you wontons have “just Sichuan-pepper and soy-sauce aroma — add black vinegar and the shop's chili and the whole thing turns tangy, fragrant, and numbing-spicy, plenty flavorful,” the blanched sweet-potato greens topped with minced pork also well-liked.

Another warned “don't order the soup, it has an off, over-processed taste,” the soups drawing more mixed reviews; overall portions are generous, one diner calling it “a place you can eat very full” — a home-style stop worth trying if passing through Fenglin.

Closed Tuesdays; otherwise open daily from 6:30am (5:30 Wednesdays) to 2:00pm.
