蕭家牛雜湯 is tucked in an alley off Xindong Street in Taipei's Songshan District, its mainstays beef-offal soup, stir-fried beef, beef fried noodles (or rice-noodles), pork fried noodles (or rice-noodles), and pig-intestine mian-xian; one diner gave a perfect score, exclaiming “100 points!”
The beef-offal soup has cleanly prepped tripe, tendon, and other cuts, lifted with Thai basil; the stir-fried beef is a big plate of water-spinach tossed with beef slices, full of wok-fire aroma. Red plastic stools sit under the arcade for dine-in — a roadside stall familiar to locals.
