康樂意小吃店 sits on Tingzhou Road Section 2 in Zhongzheng, its signatures steamed pork buns, veggie buns, and red-bean-paste buns, all NT$18 each; there's also hot-and-sour and wonton soup, the steamers stacked high, showing the volume. One diner said “tasty — rare for a bun shop where I love the skin more than the filling,” another “super tasty Taipei pork buns, warm service, I come regularly to buy some to take home, eaten since childhood.”

Some especially recommend the bok-choy buns, noting “a queue but not a long one”; longtime customers recall the shop once sold assorted saucy rice and fried-pork-chop rice — the rice dishes are gone, but pork buns and hot-and-sour soup remain regulars' staples.

Buns come out at fixed times (7:00, 9:00, 11:00). Closed Sundays; otherwise open daily 7:00am to 1:00pm.
