客來源素坊 is tucked in a market storefront on Nanchang Road Section 2 in Zhongzheng, its signature braised ramen, assorted ramen, and mala ramen all vegetarian, the “meat slices” and pork balls in the broth actually meat-free, filling with a braised-side platter; the pan-fried dumplings are griddled golden and crisp. One diner said “the braised-ramen broth is flavorful, the noodles chewy and good,” and a longtime customer said “a 20-year-old shop, as a kid it often sold out by 7 — the pan-fried dumplings are a must, all the ramen is tasty.”
Mealtimes are crowded, the space limited with no place for a backpack; some find prices high with more mock-meat than whole foods, value being a matter of opinion, so go off-peak.
