旗遇海味 sits on Gangbian Road in Chenggong Township, Taitung, right by Chenggong Harbor, its main draw fresh-caught sashimi and pan-seared swordfish belly, plus distinctive appetizers like sesame-oil fish roe and cold seaweed salad. One diner said “the sesame-oil fish roe is special, crunchy, the pan-seared swordfish belly and the appetizing cold seaweed salad are great,” another “tasty, excellent, nice setting, beautiful view.”
The space is bright and roomy, its floor-to-ceiling windows facing the harbor for a sea view while you eat — one diner called it “a place to watch the sea and eat seafood,” fitting for a special trip to taste the season's fresh catch.
