無名羊肉湯 is inside the Da-cai-shi market in Tainan's West Central District, selected for 500 Bowls three editions in a row (one bowl in 2023, one in 2025, rising to two in 2026) plus a Michelin Bib Gourmand nod in 2025.
The menu runs upscale: fresh mutton slices in clear soup NT$600, premium mutton slices in clear soup NT$700, mutton hot pot and mutton-offal hot pot both NT$600, and fish-and-mutton hot pot NT$1,600. Regulars especially recommend the mutton slices' marbling and the mutton-offal soup; many Taipei folks come south early just for it and leave marveling.
Closed Tuesdays; otherwise it starts selling at 5:30am and packs up around 1pm.
