無招牌自治街乾麵 sits on Zizhi Street in Taichung's West District, its signature dry noodles tossed with moist minced pork and bean sprouts, drizzled with sweet-sour, mildly spicy Tung Chuan chili sauce, alongside braised pork-belly rice and hei-bai-qie choices like pig-intestine-dumpling soup and pork-tripe soup. One diner said “my favorite value snack — dry noodles rich with moist minced pork, add Tung Chuan chili sauce and a bowl of pig-intestine-dumpling soup, the breakfast of a true Taichung local.”

The shop has no sign, found only by word-of-mouth from gourmands; lines are common at mealtimes, the dine-in seats iron tables and chairs under the arcade.
