正記南京板鴨

Nanjing-style ban-ya (pressed salted duck) since 1957 — a classic holiday gift.

Signature dishes

  • Nanjing ban-ya (pressed salted duck)
  • roast chicken leg
  • braised beef
  • egg-yolk zongzi

An old Nanjing pressed-salted-duck specialist opened in 1957. The ban-ya is savory with layers of flavor and firm flesh — a taste many longtime Taipei residents have known since childhood. Beyond the duck, the roast chicken legs, braised beef, and Dragon Boat Festival egg-yolk zongzi each have loyal fans.

In 2022 it moved from Xinsheng South Road to its current Xinyi Road location, about a ten-minute walk from the Dongmen area. Crowds are especially wild around Lunar New Year, Dragon Boat, and Mid-Autumn — best to avoid those or order ahead by phone.
